Utility pole catches fire in village

KEWASKUM- Police and firefighters responded to the 1100 block of Fond du Lac Avenue in the village for an electric pole that caught on fire on Monday, August 13 shortly before 11 a.m. The number of customers without power is unknown, although businesses in the immediate area had power.
The pole is located in an alley behind Kewaskum Frozen Foods, which is located on Forest Avenue. In addition to fire and police personnel Kewaskum EMS and DPW were on scene.
WE Energies arrived on scene at 11:17 a.m.
