Campbellsport, Kewaskum firefighters respond to house fire
TOWN OF AUBURN- The Campbellsport Fire Department was assisted by Kewaskum Firefighters at a home engulfed in flames Tuesday morning, January 16. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire shortly after arriving on the scene.

Campbellsport Fire Chief Jeff Lindsley stated his department was dispatched to the scene at 8:00 a.m. to a house-trailer with flames showing at N1776 Hwy 45, in the town of Auburn. The home is owned by Henry Haack.

Lindsley stated that the fire was partially extinguished by the home owner with fire extinguishers; the balance of the fire was knocked down by firefighters. The fire was contained to the rear bedroom of the trailer.

The fire was apparently started by a kerosene heater that had been placed below the trailer to keep water lines from freezing. Firefighters helped the home owner with closing up the trailer so that water lines would not freeze.

Kewaskum Fire Department was called for water, but was later cancelled. There were no reported injuries.
