KEWASKUM- A 20-year-old musician from Waukesha has been charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child. The charge comes after he allegedly had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old Kewaskum girl in his car.

The teen met Randall “RJ” Shesto, on the popular internet networking site, myspace.com. On Friday, January 12, the man made the trip to the town of Scott home of the teen and picked her up after she snuck out of her parents’ Maple Tree Road home.

The pair drove around on town of Scott roads until Shesto pulled into a field entrance off Forestview Road and the two had sex. The teen told authorities that Shesto did not use any force and she “fully consented” to the sexual encounter.

In Wisconsin, persons under the age of 18 are not lawfully able to make decisions regarding consensual sex.

After the pair finished having sex Shesto crashed his car while returning the teen to her home. He is facing a citation for inattentive driving from the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department.

On Wednesday, January 24, Shesto was back in court for his preliminary hearing before Judge Timothy M. Van Akkeren. Assistant District Attorney, James Haasch was unavailable to comment on the hearing at this writing.

Shesto is the lead singer of a band called Nailwounds.
