KHS Track Team Preliminary State Results

LACROSSE- By running their fastest time of the season on Friday afternoon, the Kewaskum High foursome of Jessi Forbes, Jess Liniewski, Nichole Kison and Kelly Uelmen qualified for the finals of the 4x100-meter relay in the WIAA Division 2 State Track and Field meet.
The Lady Indians flew around the UW-La Crosse track in a time of 50 and .98 seconds (50.98), which was the seventh best time of the afternoon among the 16 Division 2 teams.
The fastest time was turned in by a Brown Deer quartet which had a sizzling 49.46, with Appleton Xavier next at 50.26.
The top eight teams advance to Saturdays (todays)finals, and the top six make the victory stand.
Forbes, Liniewski, Kison and Uelmen also ran in the 4x200 relay but were disqualified.
Logan Staege ended his high school sports career by finishing 12th in the discus event. This was his second trip to the state meet.
