Dodge County Deputy Clerk is hired as new Village Clerk

KEWASKUM- The villages new clerk/deputy treasurer started Monday, September 10. Former Dodge County Deputy Clerk and former town of Herman clerk Stephanie Justmann takes over clerking duties for Village Administrator Jay Shambeau.

The Kewaskum Village Board of Trustees took action on Justmann's employment in a special meeting, Wednesday, September 5. Justmann comes to the village after working for Dodge County for the last 1 year. Prior to her employment with Dodge County, she served as the town clerk for the town of Herman from 2001 until 2006.

Justmann stated that she graduated from Moraine Park Technical College in May of this year with an Associates Degree in accounting. She has been a Wisconsin Certified Clerk since October of 2006. Along with her husband Chris, and two children, Shawn, 18, and Clarissa, 16, she resides in the town of Herman.

“I applied for because I was looking for a full-time position,” Justmann commented.

Justmann was given two weeks of vacation time at the time of her hire. She will receive a $36,000 salary and be entitled to benefits offered to non-union employees.
