7/09/08 KEWASKUM- After it’s abrupt closing, the historic downtown building that has been home to close to a dozen restaurants will re-open under the ownership of former Woody’s Steakhouse employee, Victoria Feucht. It will open as Victoria’s Cornerstone Inn.

Feucht is currently the manager of Rock River Hills Supper Club in Horicon. She says owning and operating her own restaurant has been a dream of hers for years. In fact, she was ready to act on that dream in Horicon, officially leasing and taking over the supper club she managed.

Bring able to complete her dream in her hometown excites Feucht. She said Monday she intends on opening in late August or early September. She has her chefs, many from Woody’s Steakhouse, along with waitstaff in place and those dining in the new restaurant may recognize a few faces.

Early indications reveal the menu will continue to offer a variety of choice steaks, the same as Woody’s Steakhouse however, the menu will be downsized so she can offer a wider variety of daily and weekly specials, so customers do not become bored with the same menu. She will also offer a limited lunch menu, with items that can be freshly prepared for those who need to meet a 30-minute lunch period.

The building’s owner Gary Gavin confirmed he leased the building and is doing some light remodeling while the building is vacant and Feucht prepares for her opening.

Hours of operation will be the same as Woody’s Steakhouse. The Statesman will give more information once an opening date is determined. According to Village officials, Feucht has applied for a liquor license which will need approval from Village Trustees in the near future.
